I was initially really relieved that the characters realized the key plot hook shortly after I did so I didn’t have to stew in obviously knowing a twist for 300 pages. Though, that happened at page 50 and then we hardly learned any new information afterwards. This book felt underwhelming and I was just sorta blah the whole time. I would probably still recommend the series because it’s still a short book so it’s not like I was suffering and I think it’s super approachable. I’m just not really excited to read the final book in the series, which is sorta depressing.

was it great? no. was it good? also no. atrocious writing BUT i ate through these books literally read all 4 in 12 hours and i’m a raging whore for fated mates so would i read them again? absolutely not. but am i glad i found these? ….maybe….
