This book was CRAP. EARTH?!?! Wtf.
The writing became so bad that it was almost like another author wrote it. The relationship between Nori and Llara is stupid. The whole “my mate” thing is ridiculous and needs to die. The guards are such simps.

Found myself skimming to get through all the weeds of pointless subplots, repetition and filler to get to the plot itself. Lara hasn’t gown savvier at all since book one and I found myself quite bored by her. Most of the other characters felt generic too. The introduction of the other realm “earth,” “humans,” etc. felt like braking the fourth wall - it completely took me out of it while we had to go through a whole new list of rules for magic and world building. My biggest complaint is the entire book felt over written. Once again it’s a shame as it really did have potential.

I just finished this third book in the series, and what a treat it was. In addition to the wonderful writing, this is filled with action, a character I’ve missed (so good to see him!), secrets revealed, and just so much more. Poor Ilara and Norivum are put through so much in this, but the end was just the cherry we all needed on top. I can’t wait to see how they’re going to deal with their hopefully last obstacle, which means I want the next now. This is a wonderful addition to the series, and it’s not to be missed. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I feel like this book was written for a child, despite its warning and spice level. So much telling i stead of letting the reader figure it out. I couldn’t finish it, even the dialogue was ridiculous, spelling out even the most mundane details over and over.
