I definitely would want to read the next one. I did have a lot of problems with trying to feel the connection between the two main characters. I just didnt feel it. So with that i did skip a lot of the sex because well I just didnt feel it between them. Im willing to finish reading the next books because the story did get good at the end.
Wow!
Left me wanting more....what a cliffhanger! Love the story between Jade and Talon...and the brothers and Marjorie? Looking forward to what stories will come about those three.

I really enjoyed this book. Talon, so tormented over something that happened in his childhood, is unable to cope with letting anyone into his life until he meets his sister's best friend, Jade. He is consumed with wanting Jade but he keeps pushing her away. This has a big CH so I will be moving right on to the next book.
This book has some of the worst writing I've ever seen but that makes it SO good. I got so much enjoyment from reading that horrendous sex scenes out loud to friends. As much as this book does not have good writing (or a good ending) I am so compelled to finish the series. I would classify this book as "Fifty Shades of Gray" adjacent. It's "Fifty Shades of Gray"'s even UGLIER sister.
I don't feel drawn or connected to the characters. I honestly think that Jade does not have a personality beyond sex. Talon is kind of interesting (he has a lot of issues that give his character that extra 'spice').
The first time the characters finally had sex I had to read that chapter to two of my friends because I couldn't stop laughing. The language used is so terrible and it has the worst ending ever. He literally thrusts twice and comes. I CACKLED when I got to that part.
The main character gets treated like absolute garbage and then as soon as he kisses her, everything goes out the window. She has no spine and it makes the book so unfathomable. She was literally in the middle of yelling at him for being shitty and he kisses her and instead of pushing him away and standing her ground, she gives in—like every other goddamn time—and fucks him!
I read someone else's review and that had a really good point: Jade is staying in this big ass ranch with her best friend but we get absolutely NO scenes with the two of them. And if we do get one nothing important or meaningful happens. They don't hang out, Majorie just sleeps all the time, and they don't even seem like good friends. Their interactions are so awkward and not to mention, she's fucking her extremely abused and troubled brother.
The book literally ends in the middle of a scene. I think it's terrible and shouldn't have ended that way, but it is forcing me to read the second book so maybe that was Hardt's plan all along. If so, good shit.

If we are being honest, it’s not really a good book. I don’t feel people could realllly relate to any of the characters much and it’s pretty repetitive and predictable butttt somehow it sucks me in. I’ve read it twice
WHAT I LIKED:
This book started out incredibly slow, however, the *spicy* scenes made the slowness worth it. There is definitely a lot of drama between Talon and Jade. The attraction is just there, you can feel it in the story. Talon is a big brooding man with a dark past and has a horrible time letting people in, but for whatever reason, Jade seems to always be able to get near him. The storyline for this was good too, lots of detail about Talon's family and about Jade.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
There were a couple odd parts here that seemed to have taken too long to come to a conclusion to the point of annoyance. There is also a cliff hanger at the end, it does lead into the next book so it's not totally upsetting..
OVERALL / RECOMMENDATION:
This book was slow and steamy, but so good. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys slow burn romance novels.

This is the first book in the Steel Brothers Series - Craving.
What can I say.....I'm Craving for the next one!
This is the first book I've ever read by Helen Hardt, and I'm absolutely loving this series so far!

You know, I always wondered what it would feel like to read a smutty book that actually uses anatomical names and turns out that I’m not a fan.
