Once again, I finish one of LaCour's books knowing it will haunt me for a long time. The portrayal of grief throughout the book, and all the different ways the characters felt it hit me so many times. I teared up more than once. I liked the fast pace of the book because I don't think I could have handled sitting with many of the scenes for longer. The characters and relationships all had flaws and that made them so much more realistic and beautiful.
