I absolutely loved this quick chapter book. It was easy to read. I know my son will enjoy me reading it to him. I loved the friendship between Kondo and Kezumi. The drawings were interesting to the eye. Loved the map images!

This was my 4.5 year old son’s second read-aloud chapter book (the first was magic treehouse which turned out to be less enjoyable as an adult than I remembered). Kondo & Kezumi is FABULOUS. It’s captivating and magical. My son couldn’t get enough, I had to stop reading halfway through in the first night because I wanted to have some left to read. After we finished it he made me restart it because we didn’t have book 2 yet (ordering all 3 now).

The illustrations on every page are insane and a perfect transition from traditional picture books. Also major props for holding MY interests through every page and chapter. We are big fans of read-alouds in our house and this was so so fabulous. Well done Goodner

Kondo and Kezumi find a map of all the islands in their part of the world and they decide to set out in a boat and explore some of them. Along the way they see Dairy Isle and Fireskull Island. Then a storm lands them on Giant Island, and they meet Albert.

A delightful early chapter book.
