I love Klune’s stories, even if they are usually quite melancholic. His stories are for when you want to read something challenging and emotional. The people are not perfect, but they see their own mistakes and change themselves for the better.

This is the third book in the Green Creek series, and it was almost as good as the first (!!) and better than the second.

This is the story of Kelly and Robbie, and while Robbie was a character I had very little interest in prior to Heartsong, wow, did that change quickly. TJ Klune is such a master writer that in the beginning you don't know if you are reading about the past or the future from where the last book left off, and it is pure magic as you figure it out. The writing is phenomenal (as always) and the humor is top notch. These books fill the gap that Buffy left so long ago. In fact, I have often wished this series could be turned into a TV show, although I don't think television could do the story justice.

The other thing I loved about this story was that one of the characters is ace, which you don't read much about in novels -- much less romance novels. I cannot wait for the next one.
