the last 50 pages of this book made up for the fact that i do not like amnesia plot lines. like was there really no other way to flesh out kelly and robbie’s story??? however the scene where robbie eventually gets his memories back? that slayed
also why can’t team human stay human??
also also why do rico/chris/tanner KEEP mentioning the fact that the wolves get naked when they shift. i remember that fact. i don’t need them to bring up the fact that every character has seen each others penis please and thank you

This book had me up late because I couldn't put it down and crying on public transportation because the absolutely perfect, beautiful heartache it offers. I adore the prose in this series and the depth of each character. And I was glad to have the first two in the series already on my shelf to refer back to and refamiliarize since it's been a few months since I finished Ravensong.
Grass and lake water and sunshine and home ... This series might not be perfect, but it’s damn close. Robbie’s book started with THE FREAKING MOTHER OF ALL TWISTS and from then on it was all (mostly) darkness and heartbreak and I was terrified of going on reading, but I could not have stopped if my life depended on it. Right after I finished the book, I was kind of pissed off but the more I think about it, the more I’m convinced this was the only way things could have ended here, and the more scared I am about book 4. I have cried, I have laughed, I have sighed dreamily, and I have screamed in outrage. Have I mentioned all the FEELINGS this series is bringing out in me?? The second-to-last chapter with Robbie and Kelly was so beautiful, and basically everything about Kelly was perfect, and I cannot believe how much I’m growing to love Joe with every book, especially considering that in his own story I found him mostly annoying, but talk about character growth... If any of them get a happily ever after, I hope it’s him. (That’s a blatant lie, I need them all to grow old together in Green Creek chasing squirrels or whatever wolves do when they are not attacked by psychos). But. Book four. And I have to wait until August to find out... I know in my review for book 1 I had already anticipated an epic book hangover coming my way, but I honestly don’t know what to do with myself . Stupid feelings. Stupid me.

This series just gets sadder and sadder. This book wrecked me. It wrecked me throughout the entire book. There were definitely bursts of green mixed in, but so so much blue. The whole book we are trying to figure out what is happening with Robbie, and then when we do, it is heartbreaking. Then we are still fighting against Gordo's dad and Alpha Hughes and trying to see how it all connects. The side characters are so good in this installment, and they really round everything out. Ox and Joe and Mark and Gordo are so sweet in this as well. I cannot wait for Brothersong, and am glad I got through the series prior to it coming out.
I have the attention span of a 3 year old, and generally am a “standalone” kind of reader gal but the HOLD THESE BOOKS HAVE ON ME… ooft chefs kiss to TJ Klune, also to Kirt Graves who audio narrates them because I think he has a huge part of why I’ve loved this series so much, it’s VERY good on audible x
I was able to stick through some very triggering content because of the way it’s handled and the sheer amount of love packed into this series
