5 magical amnesia stars. The plot twist was so well done. ❤️ baby boy Robbie.

The rule of 3s is grating but I just have to live with it now.

At the beginning of the book it was very confusing, but later things started to make sense. This serie definitely gets better when the series progresses. The book is very long though and some stuff definitely could have been cut out. I used to not really care about Robbie, but this book definitely changed them and it was great to get more insight into his relationship with Carter. Excited to see what the next story will bring

Definitely my least favorite of this series, and potentially my least favorite Klune book.

This was extremely difficult to understand at first. The timeline was all over the place and so much had happened between books that I couldn't keep up. Once it did finally start to make sense, I just wasn't as invested as I needed to be.

Kelly and Robbie are... fine? But as characters they've always been so neutral and in the background so it was hard for me to be deeply invested in their story--especially since we had missed so much of it. In my inexpert opinion, if the amnesia storyline were to work, it would have needed to be with Gordo or Ox, someone who the reader knew.

That being said, I love the representation here of all different sexualities and acceptance. It's nice to not have a major plot point in an LGBTQIA novel being homophobia, or not being believed, etc. The characters can just be themselves and we get to watch the plot unfold around them.

I am definitely looking forward to the finale, as I have loved this series. This particular installment just didn't grip me as hard as the first two.

This series is getting darker and darker as it goes on, and putting more harsh consequences on the relatively happy, bouncy characters. This episode is notable for a relationship between an asexual (ace) character and his fated mate.
