***SPOILER ALERT***Robbie is at the compound in Caswell, working with Michelle and her witch, Ezra. But, it’s not his past in review, but the present, where he feels something is off.

He’s sent to check on a small pack, then seems to forget he’s been there, making him start to question what’s happening. He asks Ezra, who always has an explanation, but soon things come to a head. He escapes, ending up at a location he’s been told to go, where the Bennetts meet him.

A fight breaks out, where Robert Livingstone reveals himself, and Robbie is back with the Bennetts, confused and angry, mistrustful of the entire pack. He’s told he attacked Chris and Tanner, who are wolves now, and Rico is both scared and angry with him for his betrayal.

The pack is fractured, and Robbie realizes his memories have been taken by Livingstone, and the healing begins between everyone. He can’t remember Kelly, but falls in love with him again, taking his time to accept they’re mated.

The small pack’s alpha shows up in Green Creek as she’s dying to tell them about Robert sending child omegas to kill therm, leading the Bennetts to go to Caswell to confront Michelle.

There, a battle is held, with Michelle fighting Elizabeth and Jessie while Robert almost kills Robbie, until Rico saves him. Michelle bites Robert, and witches can’t handle a wolf bite, so he dies, but then returns moments later, killing Michelle in the process.

He demands Robbie and his son, the timber wolf, Gavin, go with him, shocking everyone. Gavin shifts to human and agrees to go with him, breaking Carter’s heart and splintering the pack again as they’re left without him.

So much happens in this book, with lots of things to overcome by several characters. I love Robbie’s return to who he is even without remembering, and Joe’s apology to him is touching. Carter’s video apologizing to Kelly for leaving is moving too.

Can’t wait to read the last instalment.

Just like my previous reviews for this series, I can list some flaws: sometimes the character voices don’t sound distinct, the women characters are two-dimensional, it can be repetitive. But OH BOY do I LOVE this whole series. These boys. I gave #1 5 stars and then didn’t for #2 but we’re back to 5 stars baby! This book is waaayyyy darker than the previous ones so buckle up. It will continue to break your heart and then put it back together again. Time for a breather before the next (and final!) book.

Inside me is a pack of wolves, they are all part of the Bennett pack and are gay. These books are so emotionally overwhelming.
