even tho i skimmed majority of it on a criminal speed i can still tell u everything that happened in the book bcuz that's how unnecessary the details were in the book this shud hv just been another novella. Also the plot twists were good but not good enough. and this book shudnt be labelled YA. i hope Adam d*es. Juliette needs to stfu like pls stop repeating the same shit again & again. Kenji is the only realistic character in the book. If this series doesn't get better in the next book istg.

Het was zo grappig om te merken hoeveel ik nog wist van dit verhaal omdat ik het als pubertje zo'n vijf keer heb gelezen. Toch zat ik echt goed in het verhaal en vond ik het oprecht spannend! Ik vond wel dat bepaalde gesprekken en interne monologen heel repetitief en zeikerig waren en wellicht geschrapt hadden kunnen worden, maar voor jongere lezers is die herhaling misschien juist fijn. Ik denk dat dit boek niet echt meer bij mij past, maar de nostalgie compenseert daarvoor. En ik heb echt supersuper veel zin om deel 1 en 3 ook nog eens opnieuw te lezen!

I tried so hard to give the author another chance with the second book. I will say the writing style is less annoyingly, throw it in your face poetic. A lot less of the mark out noises as well. However, it is so so dumb. So they go into a two minute “battle” completely untrained and with no plan?? The three whom “missed” leaving with everyone else instantly lose each other with no explanation? Then she gets caught immediately?! Also, she goes in with no gloves on? So so dumb!!! Then all the drama is based on her not communicating with anyone and just keeping everything a secret for no reason. I just can’t. I’m done!
The first half was painfully hard to get through, the second half was definitely better. Kenji and Warner are the reason why I pushed through.
