Gosh this book was a bit of a drag.
Kenji is easily the best character, but Juliette is so damn boring! I understand that it's part of her character arc and she's got to get through the tough times before she's super bad-ass, but oh my goodness does she whine!
Having said that, this book has a faster pace than the first book, there are loads more characters and Juliette starts to be not so awful towards the end.

it delivered all of the character development i was hoping for. surpasses the first book by far, ive heard it only goes up from here.
