The plot felt a bit obvoius at some points, wich for me took away the mystery and excitment that made the other books so thrilling. For whatever reason I also did not find the spooky bits to be as scary as previous books, either I'm more used to ghost stories now or these ghost stories just wasnt as haunting.
And the most disapointing of all, after all the hinting at Lucy fancying Lockwood we get NOTHING. I get that the books might be aimed at kids, but I mean a small kiss? A little love confession? Anything? I feel like the books have hinted Lockwood about to say he likes Lucy all this time. Sure it's kind of implied at the end that there is something there... But I would have wanted just something more. Hell we get way more of Geroge's love life I think, which is saying a lot. We also get Holly saying she does not fancy lockwood, that there are others that have her interest and this is then kind of dropped...(maybe hinting that she is into girls???) Some mysteries are solved while others are just vaguely solved, and since this is the last book that disapointed me.
Over all this series gets a 4 from me. I really love the characthers and the over all story. I have been disapointed at times, but most of it I have truly loved.

I'm so sad that this series is over!!! I like that there was an open end and that there could maybe be the possibility of new books? This was probably my favorite of the series.
I think that there was some good character development and so much entertaining shenanigans taking place. I like that there was not a focus on romance and mostly a focus on friendship/teamwork which caused the series to have a heartwarming feel, even though it's all about ghosts and death. I love that we get some of the skull's character development too and he was, as always, my favorite character.
The plot was also pretty solid in this book most of all. It was definitely a very strong finale, but it didn't feel like it was saying goodbye necessarily. Marissa Fittes was a good villain and she has been a looming issue throughout the whole series so I like how she's finally been incorporated as the Big Bad of the series. I also liked the side plot of the actress La Belle because I thought it was kind of comedic how ridiculous her old performances were, and I think she can kind of compare to Marissa in a way.

This series has definitely become one of my favorites of all time. I love all the main characters and the relationships between them. I also loved the ending! I know a lot of people didn’t love it but I thought it was the perfect ending to an amazing series! I can’t believe that I hadn’t heard of this series before. I’m definitely going to recommend it to everyone I know. Anyway that is all I have to say, as I’m terrible at writing reviews.

My favorite from the whole series Wish we got to see the Lockwood and Lucy finally kissing. Was really sad that the skull never came back. Wish we learnt more about Exekial. Everything about Marissa was crazy and shocking. Wish we got to see more whether the problem was solved.
