Cute, quite devastating at the end but the sad part didn’t last long, intro was so draggy I almost dropped it

This was my last Abby Jimenez book and what a ride it was. I enjoyed the idea of this book to live every day to its fullest. But towards the end there the logic of the two mc flew out the window and things fell a bit flat for me. And a note to the author
could we please maybe not have a third act breakup in every book. It’s kinda old. Especially with this one where we could have left it out to embrace the life given to us.

This book is a good reminder that everyone dies- whether it’s from something tragic or just in their sleep. Live your life, follow your dreams, fall in love, take the trip!!! You can’t take anything when you go, so…

ps Vanessa + Adrian = 4ever

A good read but a lot heavier than I expected. Still cute with plenty of laughs but something you don’t want to read in the wrong mindset.

CWs for terminal illness, degenerative illness, opioid use disorder, severe obsessive compulsive disorder, childhood abandonment, family loss.

3.5 ⭐️ A cute romance unfolds between a social media star and a hot lawyer, but don’t let that deceive you—the characters have depth and are both grappling with their own traumas as they navigate their feelings for each other. A sweet read with lots of humor because obviously Abby Jimenez is the queen of humor!

I absolutely couldn’t get enough of this book. This entire universe was incredible. I didn’t want it to end honestly. Abby write such believable characters and situations. Each book with their own life trauma and I thought this book was the most accurately depicted in how a person would act when their loved one is potentially dying. Loved the arc of both characters and it was so enduring ♥️

This book was the complete opposite of what I was expecting. It wasn't a cute single parent romance like I expected, but turned out to be something much more deeper. I wouldn't have expected the terminal illness that Vanessa had and seeing how it
ruined her relationship with adrian, and made me believe it was going to be how their love story ended, with Vanessa passing away quietly and Adrian only finding out much later at a funeral and reminiscing her
was real rough.
I'm
so glad it was actually just a benign tumor ???? Thank god??? My heart would never have recovered otherwise.

That aside, for being a single parent romance I rarely see any scenes with Grace throughout the book. The baby should have had more of a presence in the story and shown more heart-warming moments between Adrian and her, but it felt like she was just passed around to neighbours, assistants, relatives so these two could go and date which go off ig but also take care of your child???
