As one of a handful of people who has never seen the Sound of Music, I was not sure what to expect from this book. I loved it. I really enjoy reading historical fiction that follows a real person’s life. Maria was a big personality, and I love a strong woman who stands up for her family and fights for what is right. She may not have been perfect but who of us are?
