I did like this one despite a few things. First, it's centered around this party-like atmosphere that I just can't relate to, and it seems like Henry can't either. It makes it to where there's not a ton of interesting content where there is description about this friend group. There are definitely some funny and heartwarming scenes, but they seem like they should be happening to and filtered through young adults, like 18-24 year-olds (while they are all late 20s/early 30s). I like the themes of found family and moving on from a nostalgic past, but again, there wasn't much substance in their relationships.

On that note, Sabrina is toxic and annoying. She does frustrating things or says mean/manipulative comments enough in the book that she actually didn't even seem like a good person to me.

Also, I was 70% in before I felt I wasn't confused anymore. I don't like the flipping back to the past thing, mostly because it makes it to where you don't understand the context of these 2 main characters' issues with one another and supposed reasons they can't be together. It did end up with a nice conclusion, but again, I'd rather have an enjoyable read for longer than have just an impactful ending.

Demorou um pouco pra engatar na leitura, mas ao chegar no final, atribuo esse sentimento por conta do nível de assuntos pesados do livro. Ela é mais densa, mais demorada, foi mais difícil, era um sentimento de "querer ver o que ia acontecer" com o "não consigo mais estar" nessa história.
Embora talvez não tenha me apegado aos personagens, como foi em outros livros da autora, a história mexeu mais, ver o desenrolar da vida acontecendo, das suposições que fazemos e como as atitudes e conversas que fazemos (ou não), impactam e geram consequências.
