Carrigan being a capricorn makes so much sense. If that was intentional, it was a good choice. I related to her a lot as a fellow stubborn earth sign and because I, too, would let James Halloran ruin my life. 😩

I think the pet name he chooses for her is too cutesy for his character, I also thought there were a few things that he and Carrigan said that made me cringe a little, but honestly just being a little nit picky there lol

This book had me laughing, crying and gnawing at the bars of my enclosure.

Check the TWs for this one though, some parts are pretty heavy!!

This was significantly darker and more plot heavy than I expected but overall I enjoyed it and really felt and believed the chemistry between the MC’s

I liked the first book in the series but this one had a lot of tropes that I like !
Star-crossed lovers, hero who does bad things but he has Reasons, I hate you but I can't stop thinking about you...
I also loved the family dynamics and all the sequel bait.

I really loved Carrigan and James. I adored how James was just such a marshmallow for Carrigan. I really enjoyed how Carrigan was willing to stand up and take care of things for herself. I liked how hard James worked to be there for Carrigan when she needed him.
