This book- like various others I’ve read (Acts of Service, The Bell Jar) is the type of book that just oozes depression. Although mentioned in the beginning of Sorrow & Bliss that there is no specific mental illness replacing it with “X” or “-“ it follows the monotonous flow of a depression book.

truly wasn’t enthralled, but I could see the hype that others have for it.

This was a super interesting one
It took me a hot minute to really get into and a while to adjust to the writing style, but I learnt to enjoy it
As someone with mental health issues, I think Meg portrayed it in a super relatable way, but also found I would get lost in my own thoughts
Would definitely not recommend to someone in a reading slump, but after finishing it, I would be interested to re-read at some point now understating the story and megs writing style
