loved this so much, such an interesting concept with the layered themes of classism and wealth disparity as well is the immigrant child guilt(hitting a bit too close to home)
also alice and henry were such a good couple with a subplot of academic rivals to lovers, they are so precious also chanel was an amazing side character too

These teenage academic rivals to lovers solve classism with the power of invisibility...but mostly with money!

Easily one of my favorite YA reads so far this year. I was gripped from the beginning, and at each turn I was left on the edge of my seat. Even the characters I hated I loved. Alice was the definition of an unreliable narrator, I think, and I love her for it. The moral dilemmas that kept coming up because of her powers were handled (or not handled in some cases lol) with grace by the author and with fumbling teenagery steps by Alice.

I hope Alice and Henry and Chanel have many many sun-soaked days ahead of them, and I hope they all remember to just be kids. 10/10 would love a sequel please!!
