Get Lucky

Get Lucky was a fun and entertaining read. Get Lucky follows the story of Nate and Julia. Julia is in Vegas for the Romantic Style book convention. It’s supposed to be drinks, fun in the sun and a chance to get over her ex. What she didn’t plan on was meeting Nate. Nate is a cocky, arrogant divorce lawyer. At first, they can’t stand each other, but as time goes on and the alcohol begins to flow, this unlikely pair end up spending one wild night in Vegas. However, too much alcohol can be a bad thing…especially when you don’t remember anything the next morning…..

Overall, I thought this was a fun read. It was very entertaining and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I enjoyed watching Julia and Nate try to piece together the night they spent together. The two of them had such a wild time. There was drama, a fake kidnapping, a real kidnapping, a wedding, tattoos…I mean, this is Vegas!! What else could you ask for??!!

Get Lucky is fun, sexy and just an overall good time. Get Lucky is well written and the characters are a lot of fun. This book will make you laugh and is filled with lots of sexy good times. This is my first book by this author and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

I was living on the edge and going in cold with this one. It was good, I really enjoyed it. Julia was great and funny, I loved her uncensored agent. Nate was just okay for me, didn't really blow me away. There were for sure a lot of drunken shanagains afoot.

Cute typical Vegas romance.

Spoke to my nerd side with the talk of Dr. Who (TEN) & Benedict

I read this for a book group, as we're supposed to read a billionaire romance before our next meeting. However, while the series indicates that our MMC is a billionaire, it didn't have a lot of the tropes I associate with billionaire romance. I also found the MFC annoying, and this Whovian did not appreciate the 9 and 10 on her shoulders. There were also some subplots that were never wrapped up, such as the parrot-napping; I feel sorry for the bird, and the ex-girlfriend.

I 'bought' this book when it was free on Kindle.

Julia is a romance writer who's in Vegas for a romance convention. Divorce lawyer Nate is in Vegas for a friend's wedding. When they first bump into each other, they want nothing to do with each other, but as the evening goes on, they get drunk and hook up. Julia wakes up in his bed the next morning, and neither remembers anything from the night before because they were both so intoxicated. They retrace their steps to figure out what happened (spoilers: they got married, because of course, it's Vegas).
It's got a very Hangover-type feel with the ridiculous scenarios that they uncover, but I had a hard time enjoying some parts because the characters were so over the top sometimes. Also, Nate and Julia did some ridiculously terrible stuff when drunk, like stealing his ex’s pet and tipping a waiter with the friends' gold wedding rings. I guess I am too old to think stupidly drunk shenanigans are funny? Not really for me, but on the plus side, the sex scenes were really steamy and well written.

Cute, fun banter, a little random plot to the story but overall an alright short romance.
