I enjoyed this but I wasn't crazy about it.

A profoundly interesting look at time travel, life and the relationships in-between. Such a fantastic piece of literature.

“The certain failure, he knew, and the most grievous, would be never to risk at all.”

I found the multiple different lives and choices to be very interesting and realistic, to be honest.

If I at 46 died and went back 25 years and did that time and time again, I think I would have made some of the same choices and likely experienced similar results as the main character.

Makes me wonder if I should be more cognizant of current events should that actually happen

Juste merci

One of the earlier examples of a time loop in science fiction, some seven years before Groundhog Day. There were certain elements of the book (partially its prose) that I wasn't a huge fan of. Yes, we are subjected to several descriptions of sexual exploits, but these become lesser as Jeff lives through his lives.

Grimwood's writing was very well-paced and read easily despite being a bit unwieldy or simplistic. I was doubtful at first, but I was reading over a hundred pages per day and couldn't put it down. It's an entertaining story, and it can definitely make you think of things a bit differently, though I think it fails to come to a full explanation at its conclusion. But it seems that Grimwood wanted it that way, and I'm along for the ride.
