From beginning to end... EPIC!!

Lorenzo isn’t someone you love from the get go. With his role in the Mafia world, he has many hard edges. And some you want to slap. Hard. But from the moment he meets Aida, he hard exterior has a soft spot. Only for her.

Aida is an awesome heroine. When we first meet her, she comes off as meek. With Lorenzo in her life, we meet the badass and defiant side of Aida. And I loved it!

If dark, Mafia romance and arranged marriage are your jam, GET THIS BOOK!

Picked this book up on a whim after scrolling through my kindle books and I enjoyed it. Was it the best mafia book of all time? No. It had a generic plot line like most mafia books do with an obvious villain, but I still liked it and don’t regret reading it.

This was a mafia, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers (in a way) read. This book had plenty of drama, passion, lies, and betrayal topped off with an alpha mob boss and a feisty heroine it definitely made for an enjoyable read.

Interesting

An interesting take on an arranged marriage.
Lorenzo is EXACTLY like I thought he would be, which was fine with me, but probably not for a lot of people. Good thing I like my Mafia men mean.
And Aida. No shrinking violet here, even if her new husband hoped that’s who she’d be.

3.5 Stars.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I couldn’t put it down. It did feel a little incomplete to me but I definitely intend on reading more base off what I read here.

3.5 stars Aida and Lorenzo—Hero cheats on h after marriage several times in their own house. He even has the ow in his bedroom across the hall from h’s room and is loud enough for her to hear. Aida let’s Lorenzo off too easily imo. She does put the screws to him with the silent treatment but she should have read him the riot act with dialogue. Anyway he 180’s and they’re suddenly crazy about each other and the bad guy comes after them. Hea to end

Very light mafia romance

Got this recommendation from tiktok. Oddly enough they posted a torture scene, so I anticipated a pretty dark romance. But it’s actually quite light. Sex is vanilla. It’s a good meet cute. But the mafia plot wasn’t very compelling.

Lorenzo & Aida: She Was His Peace- 5 Stars

Lorenzo Beretta was told that he must marry as a condition of inheriting his decreased father's seat as the head of the Crime Family. He finds his answer in the daughter of food delivery store driver, Aida. Aida and her family are made an offer they shouldn't refuse and for the good of her family, she agrees to marry Lorenzo that he can claim his position as head of the Family.

Of course, Lorenzo has no desire to marry and looks for every opportunity to remind Aida of her role in his life, she has none other than to play wifey. He does bunch of weird things to her because he finds himself having feelings for her and feels being an asshole is the solution to quell his desire for her. Its a good thing that Aida has a good heart because she eventually forgives him and they develop a beautiful relationship.

Please be aware that there are triggers in this book. It does contain an HEA but there is cheating during the marriage, torture scenes with the MCs, and incest. So, be prepared!

A wonderful love story. The MMC did a good job of redeeming himself in my eyes. An excellent read. Highly recommend!

Happy reading!
