Was too difficult for me to read in Shakespearean english hence the one star rating.
Maybe if I'd seen the play or read it in Finnish first.
Maybe if I'd seen the play or read it in Finnish first.
Though I haven't heard much about this play,
I loved 'Julius Caesar' to the point
That I sought out a 'Part Two' back in May,
Now I feel these two cannot be unjoint.
'Antony and Cleopatra', what love!
Be warned, layers of vice and flares of rage
Entice this man with bleeding hearts whereof,
The fury in Cleo's eyes scorched the page.
While I did doubt I'd find 'Caesar's' equal,
I shouldn't discount Egypt's great people.
To say Marc peers Julius, deceitful!
Cleopatra's heart is the true sequel.

As its Shakespeare, I wish i could give it a higher mark but I won't for this one. I particularly enjoyed the ending but the plot meandered a lot to cover history (which I don't even know is right) but the beautiful language helped as well.
