This is probably more 3.5 stars. Kelley Armstrong is one of the few keep-me-up-all-night/can't-wait authors and I'm look forward to seeing where she takes this with the story sitting where it is.I think the hardest thing with this one is a bit of middle of series, tying up a set of threads, keeping some ongoing and then making the gear shift into the next couple of books. In saying that, I kept staying up too late to read this.

I love this series, however the love triangle is starting to get on me nerves mainly because of the relationship Ricky and liv have with each other. I feel most their relationship is built around sex and seeming as that can be normal I would have liked to see more of Ricky that isn’t just with sex scenes. This completely is different to the relationship that can be seen built with Gabriel as there are descriptive moments of conversation between them. I JUST WANT THIS LOVE TRIANGLE TO RESOLVE OR GET BETTER

Pretty much a fascinating series. Love the mythology and fae aspects plus Olivia is far more badass than I ever would have expected. Things come close to wrapping up here but I understand she is continuing on to books four and five. Won't hear me complaining!

This is an incredibly detail series. Meaning if like me, you are not reading the series sequentially with no breaks, your likely to feel quite confused. That is one of my biggest complaints about this series. I love the writing, the interweaving mythologies, the strong diverse characters but I would kill for some sort of comprehensive recap in the first act of the novel.
Other than the above, I have very few complaints. In typical Armstrong fashion, this read kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me anxiously turning pages. There was also humor admist great tradegy. And even some good ol' heart pumping romantic tension. Finally, what sold it for me was the wrap up of the main mystery...though there's always room for more intrigue.
Overall, this was a great read for mystery lovers, those who appreciate folklore, and anyone looking for intelligent, diverse, stubborn characters.

I enjoyed every moment of Perceptions. Just like Omens and Visions, I just couldn't stop reading. Kelley Armstrong has kept me reading with every book of hers that I've read so far (this is number nine).
Gabriel, Ricky and Olivia are an intriguing love triangle and by far the most complicated one I've ever seen. I'm so for Gabriel, but Olivia isn't, which often frustrates me. Gabriel and Ricky are almost complete opposites. I used to think Cainsville was a trilogy, until I realised it was a series, which is good, because I needed another book, and to find out that there were at least two more coming was a relief to me.
Perceptions continues right where Visions left off, with a perfect recount of the few days at the end of Visions, which really helped me remember Visions with the long days of missing the series. I quickly remembered the final events of Visions, and the rest came soon after, which really helped me to rapidly get into Perceptions.
Kelley Armstrong clearly knows what sh'es doing when she writes. her flawless plot lines show that she is nothing but a pro when it comes to writing. Kelley Armstrong hasn't let me down, ever, and I love her for that.

I read all three of these books in under three days but I wasn't as impressed with this one, I still couldn't really put it down but I think that was mostly because I was hoping the entire time that the love triangle would get resolved.
I went into these books really not knowing anything about them but I'm not sure I would have read them at all if I knew about the love triangle.. previously square I guess. It's not that I hate love triangles, I just don't want them to be ongoing throughout several books, its exhausting.

I loved this book and I love this series.
I loved every minutes of this book. It got me hooked from the very beginning .
