I would absolutely not consider this book within the science fiction genre. It is somewhat adjacent maybe or possibly just an unreliable narrator. I found the prose in this book very interesting and thought provoking but did not enjoy the blunt disconnectedness. It took a long time to get invested but about halfway the story picks up and starts to make more sense. Overall, I felt like there was a lot of inferring that I didn't fully follow throughout the story and those holes left me frustrated with the plot often. A lot of the statements that I assume were meant to be profound seemed to be slightly overdone or not as unique as they were supposed to come across as. I will continue to think about Adina's perspective nonetheless.

Interesting premise (girl who thinks she’s an alien) but it didn’t quite get there for me. Had potential but I didn’t connect to the characters. Also it left me with some questions

of becoming and being.

an exploration of human experience, weaving through the complexities of loneliness, grief, loss, relationships, joy, and resilience. it dives into the journey of discovering oneself and understanding of those around.

it observes and boldly put down themes of the human state and experience. its pages presents profound awareness in navigating life and ultimately, how one lives and leaves physical existence in individually abrupt yet absolute ways.

this books reveals the quiet beauty in a life of highs and lows, showing how, in a mosaic of complex experiences, one becomes.
