"Every human, singular and exact, is bound by pain and a finite life span. Every human shares the same hometown."

A truly beautiful coming-of-age tale of feeling alienation, feeling different, anywhere on the spectrum, alone, fully human, fully alive and in pain, on this planet Earth. The quiet sadness in the book reminded me of Kazuo Ishiguro's style. I actually shed a few tears at the very end, and very few books can do this to me. I will treasure it for so long. One of the best reads of the year so far!
