This was a quick read. I enjoyed it, but it's not my favorite book by Bayron. The characters were fun, the dialogue was a little cheesy, and the plot was predictable.

You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight is an amazing YA horror book that is a great homage to all of the amazing Final Girls from the classic horror movies. I highly recommend reading this. The scare factor is very real (I may or may not have screamed when my phone slipped off the couch. Lol.) and the face pace of the second act keeps you moving so fast that you don’t realize you are almost at the end of the book until you hit the title page for the epilogue. I did see one of the twists at the end before the main character did but didn’t see all of them and I loved being surprised at the bigger reveals. 10/10 Recommend!

A homage to 1980’s slasher flicks and scream. I loved the diverse characters.
