This book said a lot of things that I needed to hear about not judging myself. I'm hoping some of it will stick past my reasoning into my feeling.

This book is helping me unpack so much. I am so glad to have read it and start practicing the suggestions. It is a fast read; but I chose to read it slowly in order to digest it in pieces. A book that will stay in my personal library forever.

I really appreciated how the author made this book accessible to all sorts of individuals with different concerns and needs, including literal translation of metaphors and highlighted key points.

Leaving this unrated because I think it needs time and several rereads to sink in.

Content warnings for mentions of depression, drug/alcohol use and rehab, and explanations of why certain care tasks might trigger PTSD for survivors of abuse.

The philosophy of this book is great. The examples are mostly geared to people who are struggling with even getting started. Especially if that's not you, I highly recommend the appendices, which may be more generally applicable.

Good, and I appreciated how short it was, but honestly felt like the main points could have been a podcast episode. I appreciated reframing chores as care tasks and seeing cleaning as morally neutral. Maybe I just got bored, idk. Really like the main points though

Some excellent tips about prioritizing what and how, as well as reframing chores to ‘care work’.

Such a compassionate book that I wish I had read years ago.
