Im absolutely loving the dynamic Finn and Marcus have. Their sass and snark and quit wit was so much fun. And I loved how Finn was so persistent in a hilarious way and managed to wear Marcus down eventually, to the point where he's the one obsessed lol.

Plot was intriguing, as was the mysterious baddie who's been after Finn for years. The book also has great disability rep.

Finn is kind of giving off some Leland vibes so obviously I adore him! Marcus is fantastic too. I'm excited to read more of this series.

This was exceedingly dumb, and I am so mad that it wasn’t a one shot. It was entertaining in the same ways as certain dumb hockey players.

Even though I haven't given a very high rating to this book, I want to point out it is still enjoyable and if the blurb speaks to you, you should still try it :) there was nothing wrong with the book, it just didn't quite "speak to me"

I can’t believe I’m saying this but the humour was just too much… I liked the characters and I loved that one of the MC’s had a disability but he literally was sarcastic in every sentence. The romance was a bit forced as well and I didn’t get the chemistry between the two.

I think I will try more Alice winters and see if the humour style is in all her books

I do not think I can explain how great this is. I sat down and refused to move until I was done with it. Finn...wow. I do not think I have ever loved a character so much. I felt like I knew him because he was a talented cop, he was funny, he was determined, he was annoying at times as well. He was so perfect in his imperfections. And his emotional strength. I am impressed. And Marcus's well he was sarcastic with all caps. Every time he and the others asked if they could eat the human I laughed. I couldn't help it. You could hear the pleading in his voice. The characters really came alive. And the plot was a good blend of interesting, action, and leading to the second book. The romantic progression wasn't too fast or slow, it was just right. No force just puppy dog eyes and attraction. A must-read if you like vampires, urban fantasy, or M/M romances.

This is no Shakespeare, but what a romcom it is!

Zinger after zinger, Winter delivers. Ranging from sassy to cheeky, this often made me smile, snort, and laugh out loud. Innuendo, puns, snark, banter, pure ridiculousness abound!

Admittedly, I wasn’t sure how I would take this. The reviews are truly mixed and run the full spectrum from love to hate. It is a lot to take, but this kept up the humor consistently throughout which was impressive, while it also delivered on a classic murder mystery as two cops go about solving it while wrestling with burgeoning attraction, feels, and lots of personal baggage.

Just know that you can’t take this seriously at all. Underlying the comedy though is a pretty darn good romance between a broody McFangface vampire and a tenacious vertically challenged human.

Again, I quite enjoyed myself. Apparently, I needed some silly fluff in my life, and this really delivered. I’m not sure how long the afterglow will last with subsequent books from this author, but I’ll take what I can get and for now, I know exactly where to look when I need my next fix!!
