I just finished this book and I have no words.

I enjoyed it and it was very compelling. Though I won't rate it partly because I don't rate a lot of novellas and because I want to reread this some time this month once I'm more accustomed to this sub-genre. I think my biggest gripe about this is that it's very open-ended and there's not much romance in it since it's basically a one-night stand between a succubus and a fae.

It's the first time I've read a monster-romance (although, I have no clear understanding yet of its difference with paranormal romance) and I didn't really know what to expect. It's definitely an intriguing sub-genre of romance, something I'm willing to explore more in the future.

I also bought the second book, but I won't start until later this year because I want to reread this and also familiarize myself with other monster-romance first.

If you're looking for a quick, sexy and steamy monster-romance , I will highly recommend this.

Y'all this one just wasn't for me. I'd heard so much about the book and was really excited to read it, but it just wasn't my thing. I read for characters and worldbuilding. This has ok worldbuilding, but the characterization just isn't there. To me this is more erotica than romance or paranormal/fantasy. While I'm fine with erotic stuff in my paranormal/fantasy and I like the HEA romance promises, I just need more plot/character than this short work offers. There's nothing wrong with the writing, and if you're looking for something steamy or to get you hyped for the Hunger Duet this is probably fine. It was just described as something with more plot/characterization than there was.
