I can't remember how many times I re-read this series.
It still floors me how incredibly sweet, funny and moving this manga is.

As a librarian, I sympathize with the plot of this series. A lot. Saving books and protecting against censorship is what we do!

However, as someone who has read a lot of manga, I found the story overall to be kind of ... meh? The characters are very tropey, as are the relationships, and everything is very predictable. The only thing that really kept me reading through the second volume of this series (I gave it at least that far) was the library aspects of the plot.

This isn't a bad series at all, it's just not terribly exciting.

OH this is going to be delightful!! I am already thoroughly enjoying the concept and the series! The characters are so loveable and I have a vibe of found family and maybe haters to lovers .... I just have a second sense for these things!!

Lots of fun and I’m enjoying the subtle feminist themes through out. The main character is a little ditzy but she’s growing on me. I love the setting of libraries forming armies to protect freedom of speech and the right to read whatever book you want. I’m ready to see where this series leads.

Though a lot about this manga is predictable, I like the idea of badass librarians with guns.
