Fun to see a John take a break from troubled loner life to go out on a limb for his new weird little found family. Awful to see what's being done to them. Weird and entertaining all around.

Best one yet. Coherent story, great art. Always have time for Mark Buckingham.

This story hits a good vibe at John at his most useless. He continues his journey of being a spectator while a world of depravity swirls around him. Meanwhile, Delano channels a very Moore attitude with how he metaphorically deals with current issues. That's been the theme of Hellblazer since the beginning, but it is especially apparent in this story arch.

I found this one a bit weird, there were some great psychedelic visuals and plenty of messed up stuff happening, some some of the prose was a bit overly poetic for my taste, it fits with the psychedelic theme but i found it a bit hard to follow in places, and the ending fell a little flat.

This was a pretty good story, but felt even more dated than the yuppie demons in earlier issues. Thing is, I suspect it felt dated the day it was published. Delano gets a lot of great elements going, but the ultimate execution isn't so great, in spite of some good moments.

I found it extremely inconsistent even though there is some really cool stuff in here. It feels disjointed and the trade format hinders the overall experience. Single issues being read might not have the same problem. Oddly enough.
