This one felt a little slower to me, but I didn’t mind it because the plot continued to move forward. New found appreciation for Lukas. I like that her power and courage don’t come naturally and that she has to really fight to gain confidence. It differs from a lot of training montages in fantasy.

I can’t put into words how much I hate Elloren in this book. I’d grown to love how strong she had been growing in the first two books and her star-crossed love with Evan. Aaaannnnddd, without any verification, she believes Evan “dies” and literally like a couple days later she falls in love with and sleeps with another man (one she said she’d hate forever). There’s a huge difference between being made to sleep with someone and wanting to. The author barely mentions Evan in this book, “oh boo boo he’s dead, c’mon let’s go have sex with another man”. Sorrow for Evan makes it into less than a page in this book. What happened to the girl who practically became comatose over the tragic mess of the selkies and losing her family? “Most devastating loss yet”, my ass. It’s sickening. Elloren is also beyond weak in this book despite having all the power in the world. Zero personality, weak will, always scared, pathetic.
Such a good series, only 3 stars because I. WANT. TO. KNOW. HOW. IT. ENDS. Truly I just want to get to the finale! Like please. :,)

Uff, el mejor libro que he leído de las crónicas de la bruja negra! Team por siempre de Lukas, me encanta!! Odie el final y ahora el próximo libro no me emociona mucho.
Pero lo disfrute, me encanto!! después de desilusionarme tanto con el segundo, hasta pensar en no seguir con esta saga, ahora es todo lo contrario estoy encantada. También me pareció muy bien la introducción de nuevos personajes y todo el mundo mágico.
