From the moment that Baylee Roberts walks into her bathroom and found a man, literally with his pants down, life got a whole lot more interesting. Meeting Sebastian, hot guy, firefighter, and vice president of the Dixie Wardens motorcycle club, is about to change Baylee's world in ways that she could not have anticipated.
LIGHTS TO MY SIREN is the first book in Lani Lynn Vale's 'The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC series.' I have to admit that I have not read many MC books, but found this to be a nice introduction. Sebastian and all of his MC/firefighter brothers are hot and loyal, and, in a twist on the MC ideology, at least from my perspective, different in that they are out there doing good in the community, as well as performing their own brand of justice. They, along with Baylee, Winter, and the rest of Lani's characters, are fun and well-defined, and the action is non-stop. And, while the chemistry between Baylee and Sebastian is explosive, their growing love for each other burns just as hot.
I enjoyed this introduction to Lani and her writing, and look forward to reading future books in this series.

There is no such expression as per say. There is no such expression as per say. There is no such expression as per say.
Can you tell I am annoyed? This author is the second I am reading this week to spell this incorrectly. Ms Vale, please don't feel the need to write in Latin when even your English spelling and grammar leave something to be desired!
This book was definitely let down by multiple typos and the author's inability to spell. Your instead of you're, per say instead of per se etc. And what on earth does "I rolled his eyes" mean? I have grudgingly learned to forgive the odd error but when a book is peppered with them it definitely takes away from the reading experience.
Overall, the story was alright. I did feel it jumped around a lot - both across time and points of view. There was plenty happening and I sometimes felt we were leaving behind one part of the story to fit something else in without fully exploring the earlier story. Still, it was all wrapped up in the end, so at least there were no unanswered questions in my mind.
I am planning to read the next book in this series because Kettle sounds like an interesting character. I only hope the author has found someone who can spell to proof read the book prior to publication!

Love love love this series. If only she would have it edited. I am no where near a Grammer natzi, my grammer and spelling is for crap. But there are so many mistakes that it makes this a harder read. That is the only bad thing I have to say about this otherwise fabulous book.
Enjoyed it. Neither the heroine nor the hero did anything that made me want to slap them. There were a few bumps in the relationship, but nothing that was manufactured out of complete stupidity. As an MC romance, I recommend it.
