OHHHHHH how I loved this. As comforting as a spot of tea and as delicious as a crumpet (are those delicious? I don’t know; I’m American). And laugh out loud funny at so many moments. Of course I loved Luc and Oliver, but there are so many standout characters in this cast that I need about six more in the series. Thankfully I can slide right into the next one.
Also, fantastic narration for the audiobook version. Each character had their own personality that was so well conveyed through voice. Just listen to it. Or read it. As soon as possible!

I’m just not feeling it And the fact that they have two characters both named James Royce-Royce cause they’re married and decided to hyphenate when they already had the same last name is sending me into the stratosphere

"You remain the thing I have most chosen for myself. The thing that’s most exclusively mine. The one thing that brings me the deepest joy.”
There’s quite a few books from 2021 that I haven’t reviewed yet that deserve a place on my feed so buckle up, buttercups. So let’s start with this one…
Alexis Hall is 100% an instant buy author for me after this “hot mess meets most put together person ever” rom com.
I’ve learned that I’m an absolute SUCKER for fake dating and this was done very well. It’s also hilarious, has some raw vulnerability, and leaves you wanting more of the two of them.

I love the relationship between Luc and Oliver. I think Luc's growth was very well done throughout the book and I'm very interested to see how Oliver's is portrayed in the sequel when I get around to reading it. Because the man's got some shit to work through for sure!
Luc's dad turned out exactly as I thought he would do I feel validated thinking poorly of him the whole time.
