I really do love how Northern Cari's books are and this one is no different. The characteristics, mannerisms and dialect throughout is exactly like being enveloped in a nice warm hug - it's like home!

This is only the second book of Cari's that i've read but i'm certainly hooked and will be reading the authors back catalogue for sure.

4 stars. I’ve been meaning to read more by Hunter since I read Unbreakable last year. Decided to pick up her debut novel and was not disappointed. This is a really good debut. I love her writing style. She’s a very gifted storyteller. The pacing was great, it never dragged nor was I ever bored with it.

The plot is intriguing and there are a lot of intense moments that had me nervous for the characters. Speaking of the characters I loved them. Kate and Sam are such likable characters and I loved seeing them fall for each other. Their chemistry was amazing and I found the ending to be extremely satisfying. These two women had been through so much and they deserved their HEA wholeheartedly. Great book and I’m excited that I still have so many other books by this author to read.
