"I can't think straight when he watches me like that, like he's seeing color for the first time. My mind is a wonderful mess, where all I know is every single part of me lights up with his touch, lets me know that right here with him is exactly where I was always meant to be."

Garrett Anderson is a a hot mess... but only when it comes to Jennie. Jennie who just so happens to be his best friend, and team captains little sister. He knows it's a bad idea to chase after her, but he can't seem to resist her. Even though her and her sass scare him half the time.

Jennie and Garrett is such a great pairing. They're both such big personalities and definitely push each others buttons but it creates the best sparks. I am a SUUUUUUCKKKKERRR for brother's best friend/best friend's sister. The sneaking around? The undeniable chemistry? The sweet moments just between them?! Becka Mack did this trope so well.

This is definitely a book where I suggest readers look up tw/cw. The main characters go through heavy things that create the walls that fully keep them from diving into the relationship. I loved that we got to see Jennie's walls slowly come down the more she trusted Garrett. They had such a great connection and support system within each other.

I think my favorite part of this book was getting to see Ollie and Carter again though. We get to see Carter in full blown chaos, married, about to be a dad mode. He's the biggest teddy bear and absolutely crazy. I SOBBED at the end of this book and it was because of a Carter/Ollie moment. I still really loved Jennie/Garrett but Carter/Ollie supremacy. I can't wait for Adam's book to come because I think he's going to really get me. I'm rooting for that sweet man.

I great addition to this series and enjoyable if you like the brother's best friend/best friend's sister, friends with benefits to lovers, found family vibes.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved Garrett- he was so patient, gentle, and supportive to Jennie and really worked at meeting her needs. They built a strong foundation of friendship and trust. Just like in book 1, I love the scenes when the group is all together they’re so fun. My only gripe is that the book didn’t have to be quite this long. Despite that, I honestly couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for Adam’s story in book 3!

There is no talk about hockey. This is a sports romance and the plot should involve hockey or dance but it doesn’t.

Jennie is an excellent main character who I hardcore related to. She is a dancer, has problems with the diet culture surrounding the dance world, has a fear of intimacy, and wants to bang a hot hockey player. I didn't find reading her point of view annoying, and I related to her struggles and was rooting for her to overcome them. She is so funny, and I love her.

One of Jennie's main struggles throughout the book is the fact that she was sexually harassed in the past by her boyfriend, and has not been intimate since. There are no sex scenes in the book, but that doesn't mean it is not spicy. Often, authors skip over this hurdle for female characters, and I enjoyed reading Jennie's sexual journey throughout this book.

This series has been fun to read, and I can't wait for Adam's book. Adam is a sweetheart, and I want him and Emily to get together. She is a badass bitch who needs a golden retriever boyfriend.

i always struggle with second books. it was good but lacks some charm from the original and i found myself at times just reading for the carter and olivia scenes. but i also applaud this book because there is far more character depth in this one. im very excited for the next three books.

Oh this book deserves ACCLAIM. if I’m going to be in a relationship it better be like Garrett and Jennie. I think the pacing was much better in this one than the first one and it didn’t feel super long at all. The characters were much more grounded. I cried. I laughed. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. *claps*
