A mostly accessible read that expanded my understanding of both the table and the elements itself.
Just give in to the flow of the author and enjoy the tidbits of knowledge that coalesce into the whole that is "the Disappearing Spoon"!

This book must be the product of a huge number of research hours. The number of stories and anecdotes is truly impressive.

Still it did not truly capture my imagination, and I often lost my focus while reading. Hence only 3 stars

At times quite funny, other very sad, this book is a collection of geeky anecdotes all about the periodic table. All in all, I really enjoyed it!

I think I picked this up at the wrong time. I haven’t felt like reading nonfiction lately so I just wasn’t interesting to me.

Interesting read. I enjoy reading the stories behind the periodic table. Yeah, you know, that thing that we accept as truth but was created by men.
