Classic Andrew Murray! Profound theology presented in 31 short chapters. The language feels rather dated now, but his insights are spot-on, mostly based on John 15, considering the metaphor of abiding in the vine. For me, chapters 12-15 were the highlight: it is God’s work, not ours, to keep us abiding Christ, moment by moment and day by day.

There is a LOT packed into each short (a few pages) devotional. He does not waste words. Reading/listening to one each day is a great technique, but I had to reread most of them at least once because there's so much to sift through.

I found Abiding in Christ to be well written, theologically sound, and encouraging. This work is a Christian classic for good reason. Abiding in Christ is a solid pick for someone seeking devotional literature for their quiet times.
