Very few books have felt like punishment to me. Don Quixote was one. This is another. EAP is an excellent poet, but most of his short stories felt like I was reading the warning label on a medicine bottle.

This old edition is as perfectly musty and decayed as Poe himself.
My introduction to poetry on a personal level and possibly where I acquired my love for literature. Poe is a wonderful poet. His stories are both dark and depressing yet beautiful. A must read for poetry buffs.
