I'm debating between a 3 and 4 stars bc while I loved the writing, the first 90% of the book was very 'hmmm something's coming but what?' and I was enjoying the characters but the plot was eh.
AND THEN in the last 10% it's WHAM BAM WOW TWIST AFTER TWIST and nothing is what you think.
So in that sense, I don't love a book with that rollercoaster slow then surprise pacing — esp bc once I finished the book, it felt forgettable.

What a great twisty, edge of your seat thriller. Liv Constatine did it again and had me floored with the twists and reveals.
Moved a little slowly and fell flat at the end. The ending chapters deserved more explanation.

I read this whole book in a day so it’s definitely a page turner, but it hasn’t been my favorite book from this author. I usually find the characters in Constantine’s book unlikable, and this continued to be true with “The Wife Stalker.” I did enjoy the twist at the end and I think that is one of the best tropes that Constantine continues to write in all her books. You think you know a character and then bam something comes out of left field that ties everything together. This wouldn’t be a book that I would reread, but I would recommend it to others if you like this genre of suspense and thrill.
I’m very conflicted about this book. These authors are my favorite I just feel I wasn’t entranced by this one as some of their other work! 3/5 ⭐️

The Wife Stalker is so cliché but in the best way. Joanna was too needy and Piper was too manipulative. But any of us could be either woman. I can’t hate the book because of it. Then, Leo, he just never clicked with me. It is a page-turner you won’t want to stop reading. Even if it’s to see who you like less.
The first 30% of this book had my mind blown. What a page-turner. People's lives were destroyed in 30% of a book! Whew. Then, it took a turn for me. I couldn't put it down and then I didn't want to pick it up. I kept thinking how is this happening. I didn't like any of the characters too much, although they were all very well developed. There were quite a few plot lines I thought were going somewhere, but in the end, I just wasn't sure how I felt and I wondered why there was so much information we didn't get. Give it a read and let me know what you think!!!

This book was too concerned with getting to the events of the last two chapters. A lot of plot points are really questionable until you've finished the book.

OK so many times in this book I was just not believing that would happen or the characters would do these things but I stuck it out, there were good reviews. I did figure one of the twists, sort of, but really the end was a surprise. I kind of want to listen again to see how I missed that.
