Very enjoyable, very fast-paced, it reminded me of Kate Mosse's Labyrinth. I hadn't realized it was part of a series and was a bit mystified at the beginning, but enough was explained as it went along that I didn't find it hard to follow. I'm very curious to read the other books in the series now.
