It was a good story. Nowhere near the amount of romance as the first book (for obvious reasons if you’ve finished it) but still enjoyable. I will say though, it kinda felt like it was dragging on at points. But otherwise, a satisfying resolution to the series

3.5. better pace than the first book, but she's still rather unexceptional, I feel. And Bjorn isn't all that better either. Overall ending was ok as well.

Freya now knows the truth about Bjorn and was captured by the Nordelanders.  Once there, the story starts to unravel with many plot twists leading to the final showdown.

I liked this book (not as much as the first) a lot!  It lacked the Freya and Bjorn banter as the tone was more serious.  I did like Gods and Goddesses having a larger role.  I was surprised by the twists.

DID FREYA RELEASE SKOLL AND HATI?! We never see it. We never get an explanation as to why they seemed so drawn to her. I would have loved to know, and that loose end really bothers me.

This book lacked the chemistry and character development of the first and left me wanting. I’m feeling a bit disappointed because I thought A Fate Inked in Blood was excellent and this sequel really let me down.

As a big fan of mythology of all kinds I was really impressed with the author’s knowledge of mythical lore and her ability to weave it in and around her own story. Freya and Bjorn were very likable protagonists. Fun read!

Great twists at the end, but a little convoluted and the middle was painfully slow.
