The characters were interesting if a little frustrating in their decision making. I really enjoyed the interview style that it was told in but I wouldn't recommend listening to the audiobook as I usually do with this style. it was a lot easier to read it physically than listen to it.

BRUHH SO FUCKING GOOD!! I feel like I just had sex bruh. The characters were so real and relatable and the way they talked about addiction was so refreshing and relatable. The writing was so beautiful without being too flowery and it just blew me away. The format made it really fun and quick to read too!

I listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic. It's actually the first audiobook I've ever listened to and I'm so upset that I started with this one because, let me tell you, it set the bar really high. In this review I'll comment on both the audio format, and the overall story.

audiobook format:

The story is written in interview style, and as the audiobook has a full cast recording, each character reads their own interviews. The voices perfectly fit each character (I could listen to the person who voiced Daisy forever).

The ONLY thing that kept me from marking this as a full five stars is that in the beginning, I was a little unsure which of the men was talking during their interviews. I got used to the voices as time went on but it was a challenge at first. Some of the men sounded similar to me. However, I could always tell the women apart, they had very different voices.

I am wondering if this is because it was my first audiobook, or if other people had this problem as well. If I listen to it again When I listen to it again, I'll make sure to pay closer attention at the beginning as they're being introduced.

I am also looking forward to going back and reading it to see how it will be to experience this as a physical book.

I highly recommend listening to this as an audiobook. I loved it!

overall story:

This is the fictional story following 70s rock band The Six and singer Daisy Jones. It follows them separately, and then also when they join together to be one band. Set in Los Angeles, this story screams "sex, drugs and rock and roll". It shows the fun and wild side of that lifestyle, and also how it can destroy a person.

As mentioned earlier, it's in interview style, and I wound up grinning to myself more often than not when one person would tell their side of the story, and another person would follow it up with a slightly different recollection of the events. It made it so beautifully human.

I loved following these characters, and seeing their choices (the flawed ones, and the good ones too!). I kept looking for opportunities to drop everything and read because I just had to know what happened next.

Also, I'm picky about endings but I loved this one. It was perfect. It's a book that left me thinking about the story long after the last word. I can't wait to read more from this author.

This was awesome, I literally couldn't put this down such a great book.
I liked the interview format and the characters.
It was a  fictional rock n roll romp!
Highly recommend! Sex, drugs, addiction and heartbreak.
