A grand epic on the scale of Dune, Five Years Later is one of the most dense, bold comics I have ever read and it’s a near perfect masterpiece. It is slow, I cannot emphasize how dense it is, especially at the start (more happens within a single issue in some of these than entire 6 issue trades released today), but the payoff is so, SO worth it. One of the greatest DC runs of all time and criminally slept on.
