I feel like this is a fine start of the arc. I like Alderpaw, he isn't annoying or anything and even though his sister does better in warrior training was he not overly jealous or blaming her.  The books really become better to read if you have read the super edition's Firestar's Quest ( maybe even Skyclan's Destiny) and Bramblestar's Storm. It is kind of an traveling book but I am happy we didn't have to read all how the walking because that would be soooo boring.
Right now, I like Nettlepaw, she is refreshing.
SPOILERS for the rest of the review:
I love that Sandstorm followed on the quest. Though I wished she would have survived longer. I appreciate her whanting to spend her last days on an adventure and not in the elders den.
A problem I have though is Bramblestar beliveing one of his medicine cats having a vision of a prophecy that is important for all the clans and therefor only taking Thunderclan cats. Sure only Alderpaw resived the prophec  but I still wish this was something he had shared with the rest of the clans so the adventure could be taken care by all the clans. Now obviously Skyclan was involved and that would ofc make him nervous to tell the other clans about them. Only he anf Sandstorm knew at the time, plus Alderpaw after he told him. But I am not 100% sure if he is right to keep the knownleg about Skyclan to himself, sure Firestar did the same but I feel like this would be a fine moment to tell the other. I get the whole plot is probobly going to revolve around the others not knowing, still I feel like Thunderclan really have been going quest and solving prophecies that all the clans are involved with for so long; The New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars. Therefor A Vision of Shadows could even it out and break that trend, it isn't wierd that the other clans are feed up with Thunderclan. Anyway, having the other clans following would cause some problems to the story and im not sure how they would write it otherwise. I guess it is fine for now. But I hope we are going off the whole "a prophecy about a danger that is threatening all the clans is still only gonna involve cats from Thunderclan solving"

has the same vibes of the travel arc of arc 2 except with better characters. Its like the Erins wanted to redo the idea

I read this because I saw it available from the library and found everything about it hilarious. I had no idea it’s part of a whole huge world with multiple series. I was surprisingly interested in this whole cat clan, medicine cat, warrior code thing. I might read the first one. I found it slow to start, but maybe it’s because I wasn’t already a part of this universe lol
