I am loving this new series by Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover. I consider them quick, feel good romances, the perfect pick me up on a rough day. A Date for Good Luck begins on St. Patricks day in New York City. What an amazing idea being able to celebrate your nuptials with the whole city.

Hope isn't really thrilled about it. She would rather be back in Arizona working than drinking. And when her mother starts in about grand babies, Hope is looking for a place to hide. Or at least to pretend she is dating someone.

Kellan, as best man, is in charge of helping Stewart celebrate his upcoming nuptials. He has planned. He has arranged. The only problem is the Bride and Groom want to be together. Kellan is brought close to his secret infatuation. He can only hope she sees him.

When the opportunity comes for Kellan to save the day how can he refuse. He steps in and pretends to be her boyfriend. What can go wrong? More importantly, what can go right?

There is always hope. There is always the chance that Hope and Kellan can find a happily ever after.

A Date for Good Luck had me smiling with every page. It was nice to have a story that avoids all the complications that seem to riddle many of the romance stories as of late. A Date for Good Luck was realistic and just plain fun.

Happy Release Day!!! I read it again. Still amazing. Still all the emotions. Still the thrilling moments. Still the wonderful characters.

There is nothing worse than having to be at a spring wedding during tax season, but for Hope the family questions of when she will be finding her true love and start spitting out babies can be even worse. In order to escape the questions, she lies to her mother about having a boyfriend and the lie falls flat and is not believed. That is until Kellan comes to the rescue to play her fake boyfriend. The tables are turned when actual feelings for each other come into play. Can you instantly fall in love with someone? Will the long distance romance work when they both live on opposite sides of the country? This was a great addition to the series. Kellan and Hope were the perfect couple. I cannot wait to read more.

Thus has been my favorite book in this series so far. I love that I’m able to pick these up as a quick read. You can read them out of order since none of the stories are connected. I can’t wait to see what these two come up with next.

The characters in this series keep getting better with each book. I am a sucker for tall, bearded gingers with an accent and Kellan doesn’t disappoint, he’s considerate and responsible and ridiculously hot. Hope handles her mother (mom guilt am I right?) with finesse even as she resorts to faking a romance. I enjoyed Hope’s character; she knew what she wanted, and didn’t, and didn’t resort to acquiescing to be pleasing. I absolutely love how consent positive this and the previous installments are. It was refreshing to see the hero upend his life to be with the heroine. I wasn’t shocked at the end because I saw it coming but it didn’t detract anything from this fun short. These books are a perfect fast read when you have an hour or less free.

A Date for Good Luck is the next in the series by Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover, in their Dating Series. The series is six novellas based on the calendar. This particular story takes place around a wedding and St. Patrick's Day. Hope and Kellan are both in the wedding and have known each other for years. Hope is now living and working in Arizona and hasn't seen Kellan in some time. So begins the fall-in-love cute that this story is. I like the story is not forced; the romance between the characters seems to flow very well. Kellan is charming and makes an effort to sweep Hope off her feet. Hope's attraction to Kellan builds, and her falling for him reads romantically true. A Date for Good Luck is a short, sweet read that will leave you smiling and looking forward to the next Date by these authors.

A nice fun St Patty's theme quick read. With a little bit of luck and some good ol Guinness, buried feelings come back hard and heavy! The attraction between these two is amazing. Kellan has had feelings for Hope since High school, but never felt he was worthy of her. After she comes home for her cousins wedding, meddling mother's push Hope and Kellan together. Sure it may have started as somewhat of a cover, but they both know deep down it was just the push they needed.

If I compare it to the first two books in this series, A Date for Good Luck is the favourite so far, but it is still not the one where I will be shouting from the rooftops. What I love about this particular novella in this series that it is plain good-old romance.

The plot has romance at the forefront and it concentrates on Hope and Kellan which leads to quite a few charged scenes, allowing the reader to experience the romance.

The one thing I wasn't a fan of — their respective mothers pushing their kids to date because they are "getting old" a.k.a the biological clock is ticking or because they want grandchildren. (-.-)
I mean, what utter stupid reasons for wanting your child to date or find a partner. I always thought it was the Indian Mother's who were very obsessed with getting their kids married and then having kids asap.

Overall, it was a fun and romantic read. This series of novellas are great if you are looking for something light or when looking for a break in-between full-length novels.

Another fun one by McLaughlin and Dover. I am loving this cute novella series. Each book is unique and fun and full of romance. It makes my heart happy how they each end a different way. This one you meet Hope and Kellan. They've known each other for years, but meet up again in the same bridal party on St. Patrick's day. You will have to read to know how the sparks fly though.
