Aleks is a great mix of humorous and sweet, where a lot of the other protagonists in this series lean more heavily into one or the other. The opening scene at the backyard dress-up party was so unexpectedly funny I was convinced this book would be similar to Oskar's (with more comedy and less emotional depth), but that quickly changed once we got to know Gabe a little better.
I think this is my favourite book in the series so far, with me liking Gabe and Aleks almost equally as protagonists. Their chemistry was undeniable, and all of their 'dates' were super sweet with the pet rescues and stargazing. Loved this one! Audiobook narrators were really entertaining as usual.

I loved Gabe and Aleks! Their relationship was sweet and wholesome and developed so naturally. Loved meeting new characters and getting some sexy firefighters added to the mix (the opening scenes were hilarious!) Would have liked to get to know Aleks' new team a bit better, but I think one of his teammates is getting a story of his own, so I guess I just have to be patient (not my strongest trait).
I loved their HEA possibly most out of all of the Puckboy's so far and kind of want a little novella of them living out Aleks' eventual retirement and being domestic as shit together.
One thing I will note is that I do find this series to be getting a bit too overly connected with their other series. I wish each series was its own, because the overlap when not having read all the series yet is getting a bit complicated. Is there a reading order guide available somewhere?
