Absolutely loved this book. If you read Behind Her Eyes and liked the twist and turns then this book is for you as well. She has you from the first chapter to the very last chapter . its hard to put down !!

This book was just okay for me. I did find the storyline intriguing; it kept me entertained and wanting to know what happened next, but I feel it took too long to get there. The beginning of the story dragged and was kind of boring. I was about to give up on it until I got to the plot twist in the middle and then I became invested again. I can't give it more stars and debated on giving it only two because so many things bothered me about this book.
First, I really didn't like Ava at all. I found myself annoyed every time I was reading from her point of view and all the ridiculous mentions of "him". Also, I found the book to be very repetitive; seriously, how many times can I read about Charlotte's "shite" life? Everything with her, about her, around her is "shite". I got the point the first ten times I read it. Lastly, there was a reveal at the end that I found to be ridiculous.
All this being said, the story itself, once I got to the thick of it, was pretty good and I definitely feel there is an audience for this book. I'm just not that audience.

It's a trashy airport read, but it's a solid trashy airport read. Convoluted mystery, past crimes catching up with you, a metric ton of teenage angst. If that's your cup of tea, it'll get the job done.

I absolutely loved the cover of this book! This book was hard to put down. It had a lot of twists that I found interesting. Every time I thought I knew what was happening, a twist would occur that would shock me. It was very fast paced. I was interested throughout. Though it was interesting and thrilling it was missing something, I am not sure what. Either way I was entertained and I definitely will read more from this author in the future.

A gripping story full of twists! I loved the triple narration between Lisa, Marilyn and Ava. The pacing of this book was perfect the way it started slower and then picked up as it went on revealing more puzzle pieces as it goes along with flashback scenes that show more information.
I am a terrible thriller guesser and was working on a couple of different theories whilst reading but I was so wrong it was ridiculous! I especially loved how the characters developed over the course of the story, Lisa and Ava's relationship in particular. I do wish the ending could have been a little more filled out though in regards to repurcussions etc.

Psychological thrillers aren't a genre of book I tend to read - I find them either too predictable, or overly convoluted. Cross Her Heart hit that sweet spot, where I, the cynical reader, thought I knew exactly what was going on at all times until it suddenly hit me (not once or twice, but a few times), that I actually had no idea what was going on. This was the one of those books I could not put down, staying up far too late one Sunday night to finish it. Absolutely would recommend!

Single mom with a dark past and a promise that was broken leads to a fast paced thriller. This book was twisted! I wanted something different and this definitely was different for me. The first half of this book was slow but once the second half of the book started it really picked up. I liked the different viewpoints but I felt that the daughter's storyline just dropped off in the second half.
