Lia Harris agrees to take her best friend’s childhood friend to her brother’s wedding, pretending to be girlfriends. Grace has sworn off dating, but Lia changes it all for her. If you like fake dating, unpacking family trauma, and international love, you’ll like this book. 

I enjoyed the book, but it was a little weird for the pacing. The beginning feels rushed and then the middle feels drawn out only before another rushed ending. Both main characters are very negative, but in a way that I felt was realistic to be hardened by previous experiences. It did feel like a lot of their fights could be prevented by just being more open and honest with each other and themselves. It was engaging and interesting, with many aspects I don’t often see in a sapphic romance, which I did enjoy.
