Bullet Review:

I bought this eons ago because it looked beautiful. For December, and to feel I accomplished a reading goal, I pulled this out to read a few entries every day. This was very insightful - I learned of many new scientists and women of STEM. I know plan on passing this along to my friend’s little girl to hopefully inspire her to chase her dream.

A great overview of the lives and contributions of a diverse selection of women scientists. The art is wonderful and the text accessible. It is Western-centric, and I wish there was more representation of African and South American scientists in particular. There are especially few Latina scientists (maybe none?).

3 // This was a quick and cutely formatted informative piece which I would greatly recommend if you want some motivation and inspiration. There were so many names of women I was only just first introduced to by this book which deserve more appraisal and credit!! Don't be fooled by the time it took me to read this, I read it in small intervals so I could retain the information better but you could just read it in one go. I would overall recommend it if you want a quick, yet informational read.

Beautiful illustrations, accessible information and a very diverse variety of study fields and scholars.
I did expect this to be more detailed/for an older age group. I've also discovered that I get drained or bored very very easily with non fiction, so it just wasn't a highly entertaining reading experience-
